American Director's Chair by John & Elinor McGuire
Director's chair in sturdy oak and bamboo with rattan and brass details and caramel leather seat and back. Designed for John & Elinor McGuire for the McGuire Furniture company in San Francisco in the late 1950s.
Superbly crafted with oak frames that give the effect of bamboo with rattan details. Brass country-style hinges and subframe add decorative appeal.
This director's chair can be folded if needed.
The seat and back are made of fine, soft aniline leather and are in good condition. Below the chair we find the brass manufactory label.
