Superstudio Bazaar 10-Module Sofa 1968, Original Label1455
One of Superstudio's most iconic and rarest products is this wonderful sofa from the Bazaar model, created and designed in 1968.
The sofa is made of glossy white glass resin in the outer structure, while it is upholstered in a soft antique pink colored synthetic fabric on the inside, which almost resembles a rug, creating a convivial confrontation in total comfort.
The Bazaar is designed to accommodate both the individual and the group, with high backs that protect from the outside and insulate in a comfortable environment for discussion and sharing.
Impossible to ignore and conspicuous in form, the Bazaar represents a true domestic sculpture that surprises and makes the beholder reflect. The unmistakable trait of genius, which we also find in this creation, manifests itself when the viewer is unable to look away from an object that should be simple: the Bazaar admirably fulfills its practical task and, at the same time, also assumes a more poetic one, namely a role dedicated to inspiration and contemplation.
When you sit in the Bazaar you enter a kind of parallel world, as you feel totally enveloped by an incredible softness, which continues to the end of the backrest. The enclosed Bazaar creates a kind of closed circle, with an open roof; it is reminiscent of the shape of an important carriage, simply unique and unmissable.
The Bazaar consists of 10 modules, which can be customized according to one's personal taste. The seat has a white base with a domed backrest that creates a true relaxation zone. Here one can comfortably converse, relax, sleep and do everything a sofa allows.
The sofa is modular in any way and is suitable for eclectic homes at least as eclectic as it is.
